Game of Thrones - this Sunday

Game of Thrones is a horribly filthy show. And a terribly filthy book. And it is also, quite possibly, the most realistic and engaging description of the human condition of any series I've ever read: nothing else quite captures the war in the soul, the ability to do both amazing good and terrible evil. It is a world of false gods. It is, if I may be so bold, exactly what things probably feel like in periods where Christ is not widely accepted. Many of the worst, vile things that happen on the show in fact fit in well in our history books: one could argue that the GoT kingdoms have nothing on Assyria, Nazi Germany, ancient Rome, or the Holy Roman Empire when it comes to evil and debauchery. (Though they probably had fewer dragons.)

For fans of the series, I re-link here to one of my favorite posts of all time: Game of Thrones and Christian Liberty. For those who aren't won't make sense. So feel free to skip it.
